The Idaho Freedom Foundation has rated Senate Bill 1090 as a -1 on their Freedom Index Score. If you remember, the Idaho Freedom Foundation rated House Bill 89 as a +5 on their Freedom Index Score.
The values of these ratings cannot be underestimated. These analysis are done to show Idaho citizens how much a bill does or does not improve individual freedom and liberty. They are an excellent way for Idaho citizens to gauge whether or not they should support a bill or oppose it. The bills are rated BEFORE they are voted on. Rating the bills before a vote occurs ensures that the IFF’s rating favors no elected official. Vote for freedom and individual liberty and your score will be higher. If a bill has a “+” number the better it is and the higher the positive number, it is even better. If a bill has a “-” number the worse it is for Idaho citizens and the higher the negative number, it is even worse for Idaho citizens.
House Bill 89 received a score of +5 and Senate Bill 1090 received a score of -1.
Is there any question which one the people should want and which one the legislators should fight for?
