They are doing it again!
We have just been informed that a gun bill hearing will be tomorrow (March 2nd) at 9:00 a.m. in the House State Affairs Committee Room which is located on the Garden Level (bottom floor).
The bill is being carried by Rep. Don Cheatham (Republican-District 3).
The bill Rep. Cheatham is putting forward will give current military members, who are not-residents, the ability to carry handguns concealed inside city limits without a permit.
The Idaho Second Amendment Alliance is NOT opposed to that concept but it doesn’t go far enough!
Many of you know that Rep. Karey Hanks (R-35) has a bill ready that removes the residency requirement completely, for all law abiding citizens, no matter what state they are from.
Tomorrow we are asking that citizens show up and ask that this bill, House Bill 93, be amended to include all U.S. citizens who are not prohibited.
The meeting time tomorrow will be 8:45 a.m. in front of the House State Affairs Committee Room with myself. The hearing begins at 9:00 a.m.
This is a public hearing. You do not have to testify but we would encourage all gun owners to come and participate and make it known that you support amending House Bill 93 to include all U.S. citizens.
Please invite as many people to come as you can bring. We know that it is early and during a weekday, but this is a huge pro-gun issue that needs to be tackled.
We are also asking that you Email the House State Affairs Committee Members and tell them, “Please Amend House Bill 93 to include all U.S. citizens who are not prohibited by law.”
In Freedom,
Zach Brooks
Chairman of the Board
