Castle Doctrine

You Are Invited!

Now that the 2017 session is over in Boise, it’s important that gun owners take stock of what went right and what went wrong this session in the fight for the Second Amendment. Of course, 2016 was a fantastic year as we enacted Constitutional Carry legislation! This year, things moved at a slower pace. Our Castle Doctrine bill, sponsored by Rep. Christy Zito, was shutdown at every turn by Chairman

$210 to go and 11 days to do it!

We are almost there! The great supporters of the 2nd Amendment in Idaho are stepping up in a big way right now. Our goal for fundraising in April is to raise $1,225 to do social media advertising. We are now just $210 away from meeting that goal thanks to all of you! Why are we doing this? By the beginning of next year, we would like to be in the

65% of the way thanks to you!

You guys are making this happen! We mentioned just last week that we are trying to get our page advertised on Facebook from May 1st to December 31st of this year. We Need Your Help With Castle Doctrine!

Are you in favor of better self-defense laws for Idaho? Then please read on! After Constitutional Carry was passed last year, the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance sought to strengthen Idaho’s Castle Doctrine law. Legislative Wrap Up Part 1: Castle Doctrine

It was a long and tumultuous session and at the end of the day the Idaho legislature let you down! Once again — the Secret Gun Committee and Establishment Leadership in the House — killed all efforts to push for better self-defense laws. It’s up to you to keep the pressure on them for next year’s session, and we’ll tell you how in a minute! From the time Constitutional Carry

You did it! Establishment Gun Bill Dies!

The establishment “gun bill” is done! Yesterday the Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee held a full hearing on Senate Bill 1161, the establishment version of Castle Doctrine. The bill was opposed by the ISAA and gun owners across Idaho as it did not expand protections and may have been worse than current law. We are happy to report that the bill was unanimously held in committee and will go nowhere

SB 1161 Hearing TOMORROW! Immediate Action Alert!

They are trying to move swiftly in enacting bad “gun” legislation in Idaho! We told you just a few days ago that the Secret Gun Committee and the establishment politicians in Boise released their own version of a “Castle Doctrine” bill.  After a lengthy review by our legal team, led by Alexandria Kincaid, they have determined that not only does SB 1161 FAIL to protect gun owners, it may actually be

Secret Gun Committee Bill Released-ACT NOW!

We knew it was going to be bad, but not this bad! Yesterday, the Idaho Senate released their version of what was supposed to be a “good” Castle Doctrine and self-defense bill. The entire purpose of reforming our self-defense laws is to ensure that home owners, and people in Idaho acting in self-defense, have the best protections possible. Senate Bill 1161 fails to solidify Idaho as a top state where
