It’s election day in Idaho.
Sort of. The state claims today is election day but you still have until June 2nd to turn your ballot in.
Today is the last day to request your ballot though.
You can request your ballot online at idahovotes.gov.
There is nothing we love to do more than educate our voters on where candidates stand on gun rights. Too many candidates claim they are for the 2nd Amendment.
Sadly, they do a lot that is contrary to what the amendment says, “shall not be infringed.”
That’s why the ISAA conducts our candidate survey program.
We use the survey results, plus the results of the legislative session, to inform voters about what their candidates really stand for.
Two candidates in particular have caught the attention of gun owners.
The first candidate is Wendy Webb who is running for State Senate in District 21 (South Meridian) for the Republican Party.
Webb is challenging State Senator Regina Bayer. Bayer is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, co-sponsored Constitutional Carry expansion twice, and returned the ISAA survey with 100% pro-2nd Amendment answers.
Unfortunately, Wendy Webb returned the survey with ALL of the answers incorrect.
She makes no apologies for her stances but does tell voters she is “for” the 2nd Amendment. That’s because Webb has to say that in Idaho to have any chance of being elected.
You can see the devastating ISAA ad on Wendy Webb we had made below.
The 2nd candidate we are exposing is State Senator Patti Anne Lodge from District 11.
District 11 covers Middleton, Notus, Parma, Wilder, and Greenleaf.
Sen. Lodge did not answer the ISAA survey with 100% pro-2nd Amendment answers. Additionally, she put up road blocks against Firearm Preemption expansion and Constitutional Carry Expansion.
However, this year Lodge killed School Carry with her tie-breaking vote.
She almost seemed gleeful that she was the reason the bill went down in flames.
At first, Lodge told voters she thought the bill needed more “training” in it. Now Lodge tells voters she wants schools to have “local control” over the issue.
So, rather than trusting our teachers to get trained and have the ability to protect our children, Lodge sided with radical leftists from Moms Demand Action to let bureaucrats decide who can carry a firearm for protection.
That’s why Moms Demand Action supporters are actively trying to help Sen. Lodge win re-election.
Lodge is being challenged by Zach Brooks.
Many of you may remember Brooks as the former Chairman for the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance.
Brooks has answered our survey with 100% pro-2nd Amendment answers.
Here is the ad we put together to expose the truth behind Patti Anne Lodge.
Now is the time for gun owners to stand strong for the 2nd Amendment.
Whether it is a Republican or Democrat fighting against us, we’re happy to expose them to their constituents.
We can’t do any of this without all of you by our side.
If that’s too much right now, then a smaller donation of $25 or even $10 will go a long way to expanding our operations.
No matter what you do, be sure to vote in every election and make sure that you know where your candidates actually stand on gun rights.
You can see the results of our survey here: https://www.idahosaa.org/2020survey/
We can’t allow Idaho to become California, Oregon, Washington, or Virginia.
If you and I don’t stand together right now and expose these frauds then we are headed down a path we’ll regret for years to come.
Thank you in advance for your support and efforts on behalf of the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance.
For Idaho,
Greg Pruett
President
Idaho Second Amendment Alliance
P.S. Make sure to check out our ads above which expose two candidates during this election who went to great lengths to show their disdain for the 2nd Amendment.
Be sure to vote this primary election. The last day to request your ballot is May 19th by 8:00 p.m. local time.
You can go to idahovotes.gov if you need to request a ballot still.
