I’ll admit I was a little saddened by the news . . .
Idaho Second Amendment Alliance’s President Greg Pruett — a good friend of mine — tells me he hasn’t yet heard from you about renewing your membership for 2018.
Of course, if you’ve already sent in your 2018 renewal contribution, THANK YOU! I sincerely apologize if you have recently mailed in or renewed your membership online.
But if you haven’t yet done so, will you please take a moment to fill out your 2018 Membership Renewal for the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance IMMEDIATELY using the link below?
The truth is, the gun grabbers believe the political winds are changing nationally.
Ever since the horrific tragedies in Texas and Las Vegas, the media has been busy predicting the 2018 elections are all but “in the bag” for the gun-grabbers!
And after House Speaker Scott Bedke’s decision to bury Idaho’s Castle Doctrine Bill — which I sponsored — in a Secret Gun Committee in 2017, they believe Idaho is ripe for a takeover.
They think if supposed “pro-gun” Republicans are too scared to pass gun bills, then support for the Second Amendment must be waning in Idaho!
Sadly, that decision was like rolling out the red carpet for national anti-gun groups to start targeting Idaho.
With Michael Bloomberg and his anti-gun pals ready to jump into Idaho with both feet after the Texas and Las Vegas horrors, your support has never been more critical.
Because sometimes the best defense is a good OFFENSE, the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance is preparing to pull out all the stops for passage of both Stand-Your-Ground and a rock-solid Castle Doctrine Bill in 2017.
As you may know, Republicans have the biggest majority ever in Boise.
So if we don’t translate those majorities into pro-gun reforms like Stand-Your-Ground, they’ll be wasted. Plain and simple.
If passed, the Idaho Stand-Your-Ground Bill would simply state that law-abiding Idaho gun owners can defend themselves against criminal attack without fear of being targeted by an anti-gun prosecutor.
Under Stand-Your-Ground, law-abiding gun owners would:
1) Face no so-called “duty to retreat.” Under current Idaho law, you are required to try and get away from a criminal attacker before being able to legally use self-defense to protect yourself.
In a situation where your life is on the line, the LAST thing you want to be thinking about is what some anti-gun judge or prosecutor might say;
2) Receive criminal immunity from anti-gun prosecutors. In other words, no more anti-gun prosecutors trying to make an example of you — or taking a case to court to make a political statement;
3) Receive civil immunity. That means the money-grubbing family of some thug you had to defend yourself against can’t come after you in court and sue you for millions!
I don’t know about you, but I believe the law should put the interests of law-abiding Idaho citizens ahead of common thugs and criminals.
So do a vast majority of Idaho citizens.
With your help, the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance is going to pull out all the stops by:
>>> Generating 50,000 petitions from all over Idaho insisting the State Legislature pass Stand-Your- Ground;
>>> Using email, social media and Internet ads to mobilize an additional 15,000 Idaho gun owners from all over the state;
>>> Working the blogs and granting media interviews to explain exactly why Stand-Your Ground would make Idaho freer and safer;
>>> Paying for hard-hitting radio, newspaper and even TV ads to ensure politicians are feeling the most heat right before they’re forced to vote.
Then, regardless of how the vote goes, they’ll make sure EVERY Idaho Second Amendment supporter knows exactly where their candidates for Governor, State House and Senate stand.
Those politicians in BOTH parties who choose Michael Bloomberg over the citizens of Idaho won’t be able to hide.
After all, in a state like Idaho where Democrats rarely rack up many wins these days, those with political ambitions will virtually always run as Republicans — even if they viscerally HATE the Second Amendment.
A roll-call vote is their worst nightmare.
Those anti-gun state legislators will find there’s a tremendous price to pay for voting against our gun rights at the ballot box!
Of course, none of the plans the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance has for 2018 are going to be cheap. But that’s what it will take to get the job done.
That’s why I was a little saddened to hear Greg hadn’t yet heard from you regarding your renewed membership for 2018.
So make sure to renew your membership by clicking here.
I know Greg has told you this before.
But I want you to hear it from me too.
You’re a critical part of the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance’s winning team.
And I can’t bear to see you walk away now.
Not with the gun-grabbers turning their attention to Idaho.
Not when we could be on the precipice of even more major victories. Not when we have the opportunity to finally tell the national Gun Control Lobby they’re NOT WELCOME in Idaho!
Or if that’s too much, will you please agree to $50 or at least $25?
Of course, whatever amount you choose to renew at is up to you.
Just please be as generous as you can and renew your membership for 2018 right away.
Thanks so much for all you do.
